A Foundation of Service and Executive Experience

I grew up in Riverton, Illinois, a small town just east of Springfield. My professional journey began with a degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by my J.D. from SIU School of Law.

For over two decades, my career has been driven by a commitment to meaningful change and transparent leadership. I spent twenty years in private practice, including nine as the managing partner of a centennial law firm in West Central Illinois.
Seeking to broaden my operational perspective, I later transitioned into a specialist role at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, gaining invaluable insight into the mechanics of a world-renowned organization.

Operating at the intersection of law and executive management, I now guide municipal bodies and government entities through critical modernization efforts. My expertise allows me to lead organizations through complex regulatory overhauls—from restructuring debt collection frameworks and maximizing operational efficiency, to auditing institutional compliance with laws and regulations such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Illinois's Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA).

I believe true effectiveness goes beyond rendering theoretical legal advice; rather, the goal is to build bulletproof, replicable operational infrastructure. I bring a rare, cross-sector fluency to my local practice and consulting services. 21st-century leadership demands both institutional empathy and structural rigor. Whether navigating complex contracts, executing sensitive internal investigations, or identifying risk-mitigating opportunities, I provide the executive-level triage necessary to stabilize organizations and scale growth.

A Passion for Progress, Technology, and Advocacy

I am an avid lifelong learner with a particular fascination for the future of our collective systems. My interests range from the intricacies of economic policy to the limitless potential of Artificial Intelligence and modern LLMs. This passion for innovation drives my current work, as I actively leverage modern technology to solve complex legal and administrative challenges.

Above all, my practice is rooted in a deep commitment to public service. I am fiercely dedicated to initiatives that foster lasting improvements in the human experience, with a specific focus on:

Civil & Individual Rights: Protecting the rights of veterans and our most vulnerable populations.

Justice Reform: Advocating for true equality and accountability within our criminal justice system.

Systemic Accessibility: Dismantling barriers and improving overall access to our legal and financial systems.
